North Node enters Aquarius and the South Node enters Leo.
July 26, 2026 - March 26, 2028
July 26th into the 27th, the North Node enters Aquarius and the South Node enters Leo, while in the same breath, Saturn stations retrograde at 14°44’ Aries. Three enormous mechanisms shifting gears in the same moment.
I keep sensing this moment like the exact hour when a summer day slowly gives way to evening, the light turning golden and heavy. Everything is still bright, yet nothing is rushing anymore. There is a quiet settling over the world, as though even nature knows it is time to move differently. I feel that is the texture of this threshold we are crossing together.
For the last eighteen months, we have been living on the Pisces and Virgo axis, dissolving into feeling on one side and refining ourselves into usefulness on the other. We have been learning how to surrender, serve mote hnestly, how to heal, and at times, how to lose ourselves in the process. I feel that chapter is gently closing now.
What opens in its place is Leo and Aquarius, the axis of the personal flame and the collective current. I sense it is inviting our individuality and our humanity to finally begin speaking to one another.
The South Node settling into Leo marks what many of us are being invited to release: the old, exhausting way of proving our worth through being witnessed. The North Node moving into Aquarius marks what our souls are being called toward: a way of belonging to something larger than our own reflection. Jupiter has been sitting in Leo since late June, which means the very themes the South Node is asking us to loosen our grip on are currently illuminated even more brightly than usual. Every impulse toward performance, romance, creativity, recognition and being noticed is amplified, right as we’re being invited to hold it all a little more gently.
Sometimes life does this. The lesson becomes brightest just before we’re ready to understand it differently.
There is a myth underneath this that has always felt true to me: the story of Phaethon, the young man who begged his father, Helios, for one single day behind the reins of the Sun’s chariot.
Picture him climbing aboard before dawn, his knuckles white around leather his father had warned him never to touch, feeling for one dizzying moment as though the whole sky finally believed he was worth looking at. Then picture the horses sensing something underneath his confidence. They feel that this is a young man performing certainty rather than embodying it, and they bolt. The chariot swings wide, the earth scorches beneath it, and Phaethon falls from the very sky he was so desperate to be seen within.
Every time I return to this myth, I don’t see arrogance, I see longing. I think many of us know that longing far more intimately than we’d like to admit. We know what it feels like to quietly hope that if someone finally sees us, perhaps we’ll finally feel enough. Perhaps we’ll finally believe we matter.
Leo carries that longing honestly. The need to be seen is not shallow; it is deeply human. It is the heart longing to express itself so fully that it cannot help but be witnessed. There is nothing wrong with that desire. It only becomes painful when our sense of self begins depending on the applause.
Across from him stands Prometheus, who climbed a different sky for a different reason.
Picture him reaching for fire not so his own name could be written across the heavens, but so the small clay lamps in ordinary homes far below would never go dark again. Picture him afterwards, chained to a rock for what he gave, watching the eagle circle overhead, never once asking anyone to feel sorry for him.
To me, Aquarius carries something of Prometheus… that willingness to become a steward of the fire rather than its owner.
I feel the North Node stepping into Aquarius is asking something our souls may already recognise - what if the fire was never meant to stay in our own hands? What if it became brighter precisely because it moved through us… into our families, communities, work, and into the lives of people we may never even realise we’ve touched?
That, to me, feels like the deeper invitation of these next nineteen months.
The shadow of this shift is easy to miss because it wears such a warm face. With Jupiter amplifying Leo right now, that warmth can become a little louder and a little more convincing than usual.
The Leo shadow is not vanity in its simplest form. I feel it is the much older ache of believing that if no one is watching, perhaps we don’t exist quite as fully. Jupiter’s expansion can make that ache feel, for a while, like confidence rather than hunger.
And the Aquarius shadow, waiting on the other end, is the quiet retreat into ideas, causes and communities as a way of never having to stay tender with the one person standing right in front of us.
Underneath our longing to be seen often lives a much younger part of us who learned that visibility equalled safety and underneath the retreat into abstraction often lives another part who learned that closeness could cost too much. I feel both deserve compassion.
I think of every moment we have caught ourselves performing brightness for a room that was never really watching, and every moment we have gone cool and clever instead of simply staying close to the one person standing right in front of us.
Healing this isn’t about performing humility or forcing connection. I believe it begins as our nervous systems slowly discover something new: that our light does not need applause to keep burning, and that belonging never requires us to disappear into the crowd. Our gifts become most alive when they are shared rather than performed.
Sometimes I wonder whether this entire nodal cycle is quietly helping us remember something our souls have always known.. that we were never meant to shine alone.
Saturn’s station adds its own layer of medicine to this. Saturn turning retrograde at 14°44’ Aries sits directly on the fixed star Alpheratz, the star marking the head of Andromeda, the woman chained to a rock and left there until someone finally freed her. Whenever I sit with that image, I think about the places within us that are still waiting for permission to be free, the parts of us that learned to wait for rescue instead of trusting our own hands.
And the Sabian symbol for this exact degree shows a weaver crafting a ceremonial blanket in the last light of the setting sun. Picture her sitting at the loom as the colour slowly drains from the sky, not rushing to finish before darkness comes, trusting that her hands already know the pattern even when her eyes can barely see it anymore. Something about that image feels incredibly precise for where many of us find ourselves now. Patient hands working with care as the day’s light runs low, weaving something durable out of colour and thread that will outlast the moment it was made in.
I feel Saturn is asking us to slow our hands. To stop sprinting toward whatever we began when it entered Aries back in February and instead weave it properly, thread by thread, checking whether the pattern we’re creating can actually hold weight. Can it support the life we’re trying to build? Can it carry us forward in a sustainable way? Those feel like Saturn’s questions now.
The last full turn Of Lunar Node´s was 2007 into 2009, and before that, the late 1980s.
Try to feel your way back there for a moment. A culture just beginning to fall in love with watching ordinary people become someone worth watching, before that fascination slowly turned into exhaustion. That same current is moving through us again now, older this time, and perhaps a little wiser. I sense we have a greater opportunity to meet it consciously rather than simply be swept along by it.
Jupiter has been sitting in Leo since late June and remains there through next summer, so whatever this nodal shift is asking us to release is likely to arrive louder than usual, wrapped in charisma, visibility, confidence and voices insisting they know the way. Underneath all of it, I feel the North Node in Aquarius is building something entirely different: a kind of belonging that was never meant to depend on being watched.
I also feel this shift speaks deeply to those of us who have always felt different in some way. The Aquarian Age is often spoken about as a time of awakening, but I sense the deeper invitation is much more human than that. It is about learning a new way of belonging. Many sensitives, empaths, and those who identify as star seeds or indigo children have carried a feeling for years that they were here to sense something others could not always see, to question the world around them, and to imagine a different way of living.
I have always felt a deep calling to work with star seed children, with those young souls who arrive with a different sensitivity, a different way of perceiving, and a natural awareness that does not always fit into the structures around them. So many of these children grow up feeling like they are too much, too sensitive, too emotional, too aware. Yet perhaps they are not too much. Perhaps they are simply carrying a different frequency of awareness.
I feel Aquarius reminds us that our sensitivity is not something we need to overcome. It is part of the way we experience life. This new cycle invites us to find the people and communities where we no longer have to explain ourselves, where our depth is welcomed rather than dismissed. Perhaps this is part of the deeper healing of Aquarius: realising that belonging does not come from changing ourselves to fit into the world, but from finding the places where we are met exactly as we are.
I also feel this cycle carries a beautiful reminder about uniqueness. So many of us have spent years trying to soften ourselves, make ourselves smaller, or hide the parts that made us feel different. We learned to question our sensitivity and our strange little ways of seeing the world. We were taught that fitting in was the goal.
But perhaps we were never meant to fit in completely. Perhaps we were always meant to bring something different. The qualities we once judged in ourselves may be the very qualities that allow us to contribute something meaningful. Our uniqueness is not something we need to apologise for. It is the doorway through which our creativity, our magic, and our gifts enter the world.
Leo reminds us of the courage to be visible, and Aquarius reminds us that our uniqueness has a purpose beyond ourselves. We are not here to stand out so that we can feel superior or separate. We are here to stand out because every person carries a piece of the collective story that no one else can bring in quite the same way. The world does not need more people trying to become the same. It needs more people willing to become fully themselves.
Practically, this is a season for weaving rather than sprinting. Notice where you have been performing your worth for an audience, real or imagined, and ask yourself what it would feel like to do that same thing even if nobody noticed… noticethe friendships, communities and connections that ask nothing of your spotlight and everything of your presence, and put your weight there.
If Saturn’s retrograde brings you back to something you began earlier this year, resist the urge to abandon it simply because progress feels slower than you hoped. Slow the loom down and check the pattern. Trust that what is being built carefully now will carry you much further than what is built in haste.
May this new chapter remind us that our greatest contribution has never depended on how many people are watching. It has always depended on how fully we allow ourselves to become who we truly are.
