Taurus New Moon - A love letter to every part of us that learned to survive on less than it needed.

This earthy New Moon in Taurus arrives the way the earth arrives solid, unhurried, smelling of something ancient and alive.

Today that arrival carries two distinct frequencies at once, Taurus pulling us downward into the body and into ground, the deep slow wisdom of what is real and lasting, AND Mars conjunct Chiron in Aries pressing on something tender in us that wants to move, begin, AND is also still healing from the last time it tried.

These two energies are in conversation and the conversation is one of the most important ones we could be having right now.

Let me take you into this slowly.

The New Moon is the darkest point of our lunar cycle.. this is the moment before, this is held breath, the seed pressed into soil before anyone can see what it might become. In Taurus at 25°, this particular darkness is rich and dense and deeply, deeply earthen. Taurus is the archetype of matter, our worth and senses. It rules our values and resources, our relationship with pleasure and abundance AND our foundational sense of whether we deserve to simply BE here, taking up space, drawing breath, receiving.

A New Moon in Taurus asks: what are we planting in the ground of our actual lives? And just as importantly... do we believe our ground can hold us?

Because that is the real Taurean inquiry. Not whether we are working hard enough or manifesting correctly, not whether our vision boards are inspired enough. Our question is far older and far simpler and far more confronting than any of that. It is: do we trust that we are worthy of a life that nourishes us? Do we trust the earth to receive what we offer? Do we trust ourselves to want what we actually want?

And this is where we need to go somewhere tender together, because Taurus rules money, AND our money story is almost never really about money.

Our money story is about what we learned, early and deep, about our worth. About whether our presence in a room created value or consumed it. This is is about whether needing things was safe and asking was allowed, whether receiving was something we had earned or something that had to be constantly justified.

So many of us grew up in environments, families and cultures that taught us, often without a single spoken word, that there was not enough and that wanting more was greedy. And we, as little open hearted human beings learned that security was something other people had and that money was complicated and somehow also a measure of how much we mattered. Stay for a moment with this.. it has shaped humanity more than we often realise. How much pain and lack we carry in our cellular memory and DNA of NOT ENOUGHNESS. This is a powerful moment to look at what hurts and look at what is a belief inherited. LAND HERE.. look at how glorious and worthy you are. Stay here if you have to for a moment. That is the medicine for this new vbeginning.

Taurus holds all of that. Every belief we absorbed about scarcity and sufficiency and whether we are the kind of person who gets to have a life that feels resourced, warm, full. Taurus is where our ancient worth wound lives in matter and what we allow ourselves to earn and receive, what we spend on ourselves without guilt… ehat we allow ourselves to ask for without shrinking. It shows up as the price we set for our work that is somehow always just below what we actually need. As the inner discomfort that comes before the invoice… as the way we give and give and give until we are hollow, because somewhere in us we learned that our value was located in our usefulness, not OUR EXISTANCE. BUT our Souls are remembering something ancient about our worth, light and power through these times we live. Listen. There is information being transmitted of our original blueprint..

This New Moon at 25° Taurus is saying: we can plant something different here. We can begin, in this lunar cycle, to let our sense of worth be rooted in something that does not fluctuate with our productivity, or output or performance. We can choose, seed by seed, to build a new relationship with money that is grounded in enoughness rather than scarcity, in the quiet radical belief that we are allowed to be well-resourced simply because we are alive.

Taurus is ruled by Venus, and Venus is the principle of magnetic receptivity and drawing toward us what resonates at the frequency of our genuine desire. But most of us have spent years, sometimes lifetimes, training ourselves to want things at a safe, apologetic distance. To soften our appetite and make our needs smaller so they are easier to explain and easier to hide. We learnt to ask for less so there is less chance of being told no, less evidence that we expected too much.

This New Moon is asking us to un-train that and feel what we actually want, what we genuinely need, not what we have decided we are allowed to want. And to plant that desire in the soil of this moment, trusting it enough to give it somewhere to root. Let the body speak before the fear edits it… notice where we habitually shrink our financial expectations or our creative pricing, our vision of what a well-nourished life could look like for us, and to gently, firmly, ask ourselves: whose voice is that, and is it true?

Because our worth was never something we needed to earn. It was always the ground. We just learned to stand on it like it might give way.

There is another layer to today’s sky that I cannot pass over, because it changes everything.

Our New Moon at 25° Taurus is sitting at the opening degree of the Pleiadian Portal.

Every year, from around May 16th to May 24th, our Sun moves through the degrees of late Taurus where the Pleiadescluster sits in our tropical zodiac, 25°, 26°, 27°, 28°, 29° Taurus through to 0° Gemini, and what we call the Pleiadian Portal opens. A window. A thinning. A frequency that becomes available to us in a way that is more direct, more accessible, more alive than at any other moment in our year.

And today, New Moon… moment of planting, seeding worth and desire and new beginnings into the earth of our lives... lands exactly at the threshold of that portal. At 25° Taurus - the very first breath of Pleiadian frequency.

The Pleiades are known as the Seven Sisters, star cluster that has been revered across every ancient culture on this earth, by the Egyptians, the Mayans, the Indigenous peoples of Australia and the Americas, the Greeks, the Babylonians. They sit in the shoulder of the Bull, and they carry what so many traditions have called the frequency of the divine feminine in her most advanced expression, deep healing, unconditional love, soul-level nourishment, psychic sensitivity, and the kind of compassion that does not flinch from the wound it is tending.

In modern esoteric astrology, the Pleiades are understood as a source of highly advanced feminine wisdom, a star lineage most associated with healing, empathy, the heart chakra, and the soul’s remembrance of what it came here to do. Many who feel a deep pull toward healing work, toward spiritual service, toward holding space for others in their becoming... carry Pleiadian frequency in their charts, planets at those late Taurus degrees, strong Pisces or 12th house placements, a sensitivity that has always felt larger than this one lifetime.

And here we are. Planting seeds of worth and self-nourishment AND receiving, on exactly those frequencies.

Our New Moon conjunct the Pleiadian Portal is not asking us to look outward toward the stars for our healing. It is reminding us that the frequency we are reaching for, that deep unconditional love and radical nourishment, sense of being truly met and held and seen... we carry it. It is in us. It was always in us. The Sisters are simply holding up a mirror, and in that mirror we see a soul that was born knowing how to love, knowing how to heal and receive, and has spent a very long time slowly, tenderly, learning to direct all of that toward itself.

This is the portal. And we are already inside it.

Seed what is sacred. The Sisters are witnessing.

There is another dynamic fusing with the Taurus New Moon.. Mars conjunct Chiron in Aries, which is a whole other conversation happening in the same sky, and yet these two events are breathing together today, informing each other, creating a conversation between what we are seeding and what we are healing.

Mars in Aries is Mars at home. This is our planet of drive, action, desire, initiation, and the will to exist fully and unapologetically, placed in the sign that embodies all of those things most naturally. Aries is the self before it learned to modify itself. The “I am” before it became “I am, but...” Aries is the original impulse, the spark before it learned to wonder whether it was welcome.

And Chiron is our Wounded Healer. In Aries, Chiron speaks to the wound around existing at all. Around the self, the will, our right to take up space, to initiate, to act, to move forward without apologizing for the fact of our own existence. So many of us carry this wound in ways we barely recognize, because it is so fundamental, woven into the very fabric of how we move through our world. It shows up as the hesitation before speaking. The instinct to make ourselves smaller in a room. The belief, somewhere beneath conscious thought, that our desires are too much,… our energy inconvenient, that our presence needs to be justified to be valid.

Mars conjunct Chiron today, on this New Moon in Taurus, is not a casual transit. This is an activation. Mars is literally moving over our wound, which can feel like a flare, and things that seemed healed are tender again, like we are being asked to act from a place that still hurts, AND to act anyway. To move forward from exactly where we are, wound and all, because our healing is not a prerequisite for living... our living IS our healing.

What is being asked of us today is not that we wait until we feel whole before we show up fully. It is that we show up fully as someone in process, someone mid-healing, someone who has known the particular ache of Aries‘s wound and is choosing, with great tenderness, to initiate anyway.

To plant the seed anyway.

To begin.

Where does 25° Taurus fall in your natal chart? That house is where this new beginning is taking root most personally for you. For some it will be resources and livelihood, a new chapter with finances or creative work, the permission to finally ask for more AND to actually believe we deserve to receive it. For others, it is communication and ideas, the planting of a voice that has been learning to trust itself. For others still, it lands in the house of the self, the body, our soul’s outermost expression, and the invitation is the most intimate of all: to begin again with ourselves, in the deepest sense, to start treating our own existence as worthy of investment.

And wherever Aries sits in our chart, there is where Mars conjunct Chiron is doing its tender work. Where our wound around the right to ACT, to BE, to take up space without apology, is being activated, illuminated, and slowly, slowly opened so it can finally breathe.

Both together are asking something beautiful and difficult: can we value ourselves enough to begin? Can we meet our own desire with the same reverence we offer soil when we plant something precious? Can we act from the wound rather than waiting for it to close?

Our ground is dark right now. That is what a new moon is. But dark and barren are not the same thing. Our seed does not need light to germinate, it needs soil, and warmth, and the willingness of something to become.

We are that something.

Plant what is true. Move from where we are. Trust our ground.

And know that the ache felt in the initiating, that raw Aries tenderness where courage lives right next to fear... that is not weakness asking us to wait. That is Chiron showing us exactly where our medicine grows.

Our new moon holds space for everything that has not yet shown itself.

We are already what we are becoming.
